BACKGROUND
Ms. Wenglowski, a painter and
mixed media artist, was born in Rochester, NY. Early
painting and drawing education was at Rochester Institute
of Technology. She was awarded a BFA, cum laude,
from Manhattanville College, with Art Department
honors in 1980.
EXHIBITION
Connecticut, Maine and New York
have been sites for exhibition for the past 29 years.
Her work has been discussed, written about and printed
in the following: The New York Times, PCTV – Channel
76, Pleasantville, NY, WFAS Radio, Westchester Weekly,
Greenwich Magazine, House Beautiful, Points East
Magazine, Arts News, and Preview Magazine.
COLLECTORS
Permanent corporate collectors
include Pfizer Corp., PepsiCo, Metro Media Fiber
Network, and Goldman, Sachs and Co. Private collectors
include the Toby and Leon Cooperman Collection in
New Jersey and Florida. Also collectors reside in
England and 15 U.S. States.
TEACHING
Ms. Wenglowski has been involved
in teaching mentally and physically challenged individuals,
preschool children, and high school youth. She was
a recent (2005) grantee for a visiting artist position
at Westchester Magnet Academy in Purchase, NY. The
grant was funded through EMPIRE STATE PARTNERSHIP,
supported by New York State Council on the Arts,
between Westchester Arts Council and Greenburgh Central
7 School District.
OUTREACH
Ms. Wenglowski is currently serving
on two Advisory Boards: the Katonah Museum Artists'
Association Advisory Board in Katonah, NY, and THE
STUDIO - An Alternative Space for Contemporary Art,
in Armonk, NY. She was President of the Katonah Museum
Artists’ Association from 2002-2003.
She has created and is facilitating a program for
the Katonah Museum Artists’ Association called
ARTISTS VISIT ARTISTS.
The program encourages knowledge of artists and their
work through studio visits.
Curatorial work with the Katonah Museum Artists’s
Association is also a current project.

SELECTED AWARDS
Ms. Wenglowski received an award
for an interactive mixed media art work entitled, For
Them. September 11, 2001, from the Katonah Museum
Artists’ Association. Other awards have been
received from the following: the Stamford Art Association
(mixed media award), The Westchester Arts Council
(Making a Difference Award), NYNEX/ Patent Trader
Volunteer of the Month (for teaching art in a nursing
home) and Manhattanville College (Alumni Distinguished
in the Arts).
